To gain big improvements in our work lives and patient care we have to change the politics of Wisconsin. This year is the best chance we will have to make state government work for working people. Here's how to get involved and make a difference.

Elected officials make the most important decisions affecting our patients and our work lives. Political decisions largely determine staffing levels in our facilities, the quality and cost of our benefits, and whether our patients have access to the care they need. Distribute Workplace Flyers

Everyone should know about the politics that affect their professions and their lives. Member to member communication is the key to our political power. Distribute regular election and legislative action alerts to your fellow members at work. Sign up to receive action alerts for your co-workers on a regular basis.

Take Action - Help with Outreach

To improve things we have to unite members of our own professions. Each year SEIU District 1199 members are contacting thousands of nurses and other health care professionals to discuss uniting at work and important legislative issues. Become a Member Political Organizer (MPO)

MPOs are SEIU members willing to volunteer to help build political power in our workplaces and communities. Regular trainings take place to learn how to make political action work.
