SEIU HEALTHCARE District 1199 Wisconsin represents over 4,500 health care professionals working in more than 300 facilities statewide. We are working night and day to achieve safer staffing, better pay, improved scheduling and a voice in the decisions that affect the quality of care we can provide.

There When We Were Needed

As we look back at our union's activities and achievements, we want to note the extraordinary efforts on the part of many of our members in responding to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Members of our union brought vital supplies and nursing skills to people in need within days of the catastrophe. With advanced approval for tuition re-imbursement from the union's elected Board of Directors, SEIU District 1199W/UP members seeking additional skills can enroll in classes at the UW-Extension School for Workers. Please contact your Union Staff Representative.

SEIU HEALTHCARE District 1199 Wisconsin is a democratic union run by members elected from diverse chapters around the state of Wisconsin.
