Management at UWHC is attempting to change our reporting procedure based on supposed recommendations from JCAHO. We think some of the changes are unwise and unnecessary. One of our Bargaining Committee's primary objectives during bargaining was to achieve more of a voice for professional staff in the decisions that affect our working conditions and patient care. We came to several agreements with management that give us greater input on issues like floating, staffing, scheduling and professional advancement.
